Does Green Juice Actually Help When You’re Juice Fasting?
Only because it stops you messing it up.
Most people don’t struggle with juice fasting because they “can’t do it.” They struggle because what they’re drinking makes it harder than it should be.
If your juices are mostly fruit, you’ll notice it quickly. You drink one, feel fine for a bit, then you’re hungry again not long after. That cycle keeps repeating.
That’s not some deep biological issue. It’s just how you’ve set it up.

When people switch to more vegetable-heavy juices, that usually settles down. You don’t get the same sharp swings, so you’re not constantly thinking about your next juice.
That’s really all “green juice” is doing here. It’s not fixing anything. It just stops you creating the problem in the first place.
If you’re building juices around spinach, cucumber, celery, that sort of thing, and just using a bit of fruit so it actually tastes alright, the whole thing feels more stable.
If you’re leaning heavily on apples, oranges, sweeter stuff, you’ll feel that as well. It just shows up as more hunger and more effort.
It’s worth being clear about one thing though. Green juice isn’t speeding anything up. It’s not doing anything special on its own. The weight change comes from eating less, not from swapping colours.
All this really comes down to is making the fast manageable enough that you actually stick to it.
